A Little Bit About Me

My name is Denisa, a Slovakian native who ventured to the United States at 18 to pursue passions for hockey and education. Starting my hockey journey at the age of 7, little did I envision that my unwavering dedication would lead me to proudly represent my country in hockey and eventually open the doors to pursue both athletic and academic endeavors in America. Initially drawn to The College of Saint Scholastica with aspirations of pursuing physical therapy, I stumbled upon an unexpected passion for programming and technology, prompting me to embrace a second major in Computer Information Systems. Balancing a rigorous academic schedule, a 20-hour work week and the demands of D3 college hockey presented undeniable challenges, refining invaluable skills in time management, resilience, dedication, and teamwork. I aim to leverage this unique blend of experiences and knowledge to make meaningful contributions, bringing a fresh and innovative outlook to the table.
